Mission
I help Nurses and Student Nurses achieve confidence and competence so that they can be successful while working in the Intensive Care Unit.
Vision
My vision is for all nurses and students to feel supported and be confident and competent while working in the Intensive Care Unit.
My Background
How I Became an ICU Nurse
In 2008, I completed a Certified Nursing Assistant program through my vocational high school. Upon graduating high school in 2009, I was inspired to become a nurse by my high school CNA Instructors, guest nurse speakers, and my mother, who is also a nurse. The one characteristic that they all had in common was their compassion to help others. In 2014, I graduated from nursing school with my BSN and Spanish Minor.
I worked on a Medical Surgical Unit for my first year as a Registered Nurse. Then, I felt comfortable enough to transition into the Intensive Care Unit. I have worked in the ICU ever since.
I've worked as a Registered Nurse in Kansas, Texas, Missouri, and now California, gaining diversity and critical care experience in each state. In 2017, I earned my CCRN, which is the national certification for expert critical care nurses.
ICU Nurse Mentor LLC was established to offer mentoring services to nursing students, graduate nurses, and experienced nurses who are interested in working in critical care. I want you to have confidence and competence when you enter the Intensive Care Unit. This is the level of excellence that has provided the confidence for me to grow into the nurse I am today.
